Crippen Regional Park, Bowen Island, BC
Crippen Regional Park
on Bowen Island, BC
is home to some pretty incredible
looking trees.
A quick 20 minute ferry ride
from Vancouver brings you to
this idyllic island paradise.
Wandering through Crippen
Regional Park brings you to another
level of island life, one
draped in moss and history.
The island is named for
Captain John Bowen, who was considered
a pirate. Honest, I don't make this kind of thing up.
He was born in Bermuda, and
sailed with the likes of George Booth
and Nathanial North.
Their stories alone could fill
many volumes worth of swashbuckling legends
and pirate tales.
The trees whisper their ancient secrets
of glories past and tranquil splendors of the present.
I am drawn back over and over again to hear their
breathless whispers of legends.

Thanks Heather, it's a magical place.
I've been around Bowen a little, it's just a cool place, especially when the sun is shining.
Thanks Jon, it's become one of my favorite places to wander with a camera.
