Courtenay River, Comox Valley, British Columbia, Canada
The views along the Courtenay River
in British Columbia, Canada
are nothing but spectacular.
Courtenay is situated in the
Comox Valley region of
Vancouver Island.
I love the laid back and
relaxed atmosphere of
this whole area. The
rhythms of life take
on a more subtle and
"attached to the earth" feel, and
nature treats your senses to
a daily dose of nirvana.
The word Comox is derived
from a First Nations
term that means
Place of Plenty.
Which is understandable, since
the Comox Valley is full of
rich farmlands, mountain vistas,
lakes and rivers, and all
manner of wild critters.
And some really fun tubing
on the Courtenay River!
What's there not to like?!
