Kilby Provincial Park, British Columbia, Canada
Kilby Provincial Park in British Columiba, Canada
is a beautiful spot to visit.
With a backdrop of towering mountains, Kilby
nestles in the upper Fraser Valley
at the confluence of three rivers,
Its a paradise for bird lovers with
bald eagles regularly visiting to lunch
on salmon from the river.
There is an old general store, Kilby Historic Store,
that was in operation
during the lumber days of the area,
well worth a visit and
several snaps of the camera.
You can spend a whole day here
absorbing the quiet atmosphere
of the area, and come away
with a new appreciation for the people
who first worked the lumber and
milling trades.

Thanks for the info. You come up with such interesting places. Lived here most of my life and haven't heard of most of your discoveries. Will definitely be checking out Kirby!
Hi Robin, nice to see you here! Kilby is a great place to take your camera and a lunch. I spotted several eagles when I was there, plus a few other varieties of birds. Just sitting on a log by the river listening to life unfolding around you is well worth the drive. I'll look forward to seeing some shots on your blog.
Very nice pic; wish I was there!
