Addington Marsh, Maple Ridge, BC, Canada
Addington Marsh in Maple Ridge, BC, Canada
is a superb example of wetland, tidal fresh water mudflats, and
and upland forest habitat all coming together
in one place. Addington Marsh is
over 7,000 acres large, and has many
kilometers of hiking trails and several
viewing platforms.
She's an incredibly beautiful place to visit
in any weather. I happened
to go on one of the few awesomely
sunny days we have had here in British Columbia
in the last few weeks.
I was met with the wild honking cries of several
Snow Geese that regularly migrate through
this area, as well as many shapes and varieties of
ducks and water birds.
With the soft rush of newly formed waterfalls on the mountain
backdrop and wispy feathered clouds, Addington Marsh
made the me glad that Mother Nature is
still alive and well in all her glory and
splendor.
Welcome to BC.
It really doesn't get any better than this.
