Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve, Chilliwack, BC, Canada

The Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve is
located in Chilliwack, BC, Canada,
and is home to a large breeding
colony of these magnificent birds.
There are over 90 nests here,
and the reserve is set amongst some of the
most spectacular scenery
British Columbia has to offer.
I saw several Great Blue Herons
the day I was here, but so far
they are not nesting.
No wonder, since British Columbia is
experiencing an icy blast
of cold winter weather right now.
Maybe we should get some
nice heaters for the Herons?!
