Vancouver Island Sunset and Ferry Wake, October 2009
The kindness of strangers
is sometimes overwhelming.
I recently sent this photo in
to Wayne Cox at Global BC TV
in case it was worth showing on
his "Weather Window" segment of
the program.
We never really think about all the people involved in
doing something like this.
It has to go from a computer to
a digital display system, someone
has to do the job. Someone has to
check that it looks okay and it not upside
down or something.
And then Wayne Cox has to actually fit it
in to his weather forecast. It all takes people
and time. And caring and professionalism.
For this I am grateful and honored.
And I wish to extend my thanks
and gratitude for all those involved.
You have no idea how much this means to me.
Thank you.

Wow! Great that you got "Air Time!" I've sent a couple of shots in, but never got picked.
By the way, beautiful shot!
Lovely photo. Nice for you that it was chosen.
I can imagine myself sitting at the back of that ferry watching my journey slip into the past.
Hi Robin, thank you! Yes, it was awesome of them to do that.
Thanks Stephanie, it was a great holiday for me and a pretty amazing ferry ride back home. Magical somehow. :)
Beautiful capture Karen
Some really fantastic photos Karen. Hope you all doing well. Shame you never took photos of that unusual sport that is taking off all across Central America. You know the one...
Hi Claudia .. nice to hear from you. Unfortunately, the breeding stock for the Crollo Team were not yet brought up from Argentina when I was there, and the playing field was under construction. What can you do?! Hope all is well in your world! :):)
Wow! Congrats! This is a beautiful capture. But then again your pictures are all beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
Have a great day!
I'm part of that team that puts the Weather Window pics on the air. We do get some amazing entries, your picture is a great example of that.
We've never been called 'professional' before :), thank you, and keep the great pics coming!
Hi Jon -- thanks for stopping by. Professional you are, no doubt about it! :) Hope all is well in your world.
